About The Work Process

UX: Wireframes

Evenz is a location and time based event discovery service for the social domain. I was fortunate to meet with the guys from Evenz and work with them on their app at their very begining.
As we started to work I met with Tamar, the product manager, and together we came up with the final app flow, so I could design Wireframes.

Style: graphic theme

After we figured out the final version of the App's wireframes, I designed 3 styles for us to choose from:

We all agreed that the fun, whimsical, event-ticket themed is the most fitting option.
"But of course we cannot use this color" said Tamar. As the only female in the company, she argued that the color would scare off male users. I insisted that it is a fun and inviting color that is appropriate for a product associated with leisure and recreation.
She said "girly pink", I said "deep magenta". Tomayto, tomahto.

color search

We searched for the best color for the app - a happy and fun color, that will be pleasant and inviting. After testing out some colors with a mixed-gender test-group we decided on a bright Coral. Happy with the PINKish compromise (light-red if you ask the guys) I continued to design the rest of the screens.

The Screens

Evenz, a Palo-Alto, CA and Tel-Aviv based startup is developing a city as a platform service, aimed at providing a location and time based event discovery service for the social domain. Evenz App was designed in October-November 2015 By Hili Megory.
